Increasing Terrorist Attacks On US Soil Under President Obama, Are We Missing President Bush Now

When you are views as weak terrorist believe they have a chance to attack and make it successful. The reason for the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center was the weak responses by the US to terror attacks by President Clinton. Here are the attacks that I am referring to:

* February 26, 1993, attack on the World Trade Center: 6 deaths and 1,042 injured,

* April 19, 1995, Oklahoma City bombing: 168 deaths and over 800 injured,

* June 25, 1996, Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia: 20 deaths and 372 injured,

* August 7, 1998, attacks on American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania: 12 U.S. deaths out of a total of 223 deaths; 12 U.S. injured out of a total of over 4,000 injured,

* October 12, 2000, attack on the USS Cole in Yemen: 17 deaths; 39 injured.

Due to this Bin Laden and al Qaeda figured they had a shot at attacking the US main land. All of the plans and people were put in place while President Clinton was still in office. So when they carried out that attacks of 9/11 they were successful.

The one thing al Qaeda couldn't tell was President Bush and how he would react to the attacks of 9/11. They never knew that President Bush would take the fight to them by declaring war on al Qaeda. By doing this President Bush put them on the run and broke up their terror network. He kept this country safe from attack for 8 years.

Now the US is seen as weak by al Qaeda and they feel they have a chance to attack again on the US main land. In the first year of President there have already been 3 attacks 1 successful and 2 unsuccessful. The attacks that I am referring to are:

1. Fort Hood Shootings,

2. Christmas Day Bomber,

3. Times Square Bomb In NYC.

In the fort Hood shooting carried out byNidal Malik Hasan who was a Muslim who came to hate America even while serving in the US Army. He was in contact with an al Qaeda cleric in Yemen were is got go ahead for the Fort Hood shootings.

The Christmas Day Bomber also got is training in Yemen. There were many breakdowns in the intelligence community on this terror attack. the only reason it was not successful was because the terrorist couldn't get the bomb to work and blow up.

Now the most recent in the last 3 days was the Times Square Bomb. The American Muslim here got his training in Pakistan for making bombs. The only reason that this attack was not successful because he could not get the bomb made correctly.

My fear is that these attacks are going to continue and eventually one will be successful and many will die and be hurt. The reason for this is that the terrorist see president Obama as weak and will not retaliate like President Bush did. It is really bad in one year there have been 3 attempts on US soil and after 9/11 President Bush kept this country safe for 8 years.

I will tell you right now I miss President Bush now and suspect many Americans right now do.
